Located on the northern Valhalla watershed, 2.3km west of Un. 2638m, SW of Wragge Lake and 1.4km north of Mt Niord. The pass from Caribou Creek to Wee Sandy Lake is south of this peak and north of Mount Niord at 584-387. The road toward this pass is at Branch 25 (see the Shannon Creek to Wee Sandy Lake post); high clearance, four wheel drive, low range.

Route: The col can be reached from either:
Caribou Creek ( hike south and southeast on an intermittent bear trail through the grassy valley from the road or
Wee Sandy Lake. From the north end of the lake, ascend NW staying high above the large Grizzly Lake to avoid bushwhacking.
1. South Ridge. From the Un. 2640m-Niord col, the south ridge is easy heather, dirt and some granite, 0.5 hour up. (I,3).
