TRIDENT PEAK

TRIDENT PEAK   2730m   8956′

1. Southwest to Northeast. Ascend the south face of Trident for two rope lengths up a crack and sloping chimney system (Class 5.3), instead of a scree gully. Traverse easily over Trident, Rosemary’s Baby and Mount Mephistopheles. An easy route descends toward the south from the base of Mephistopheles.
Thin blades, angles and chocks are used on Trident. (II,5.3). 9/1973.

2. Southeast Face (Witch Doctor Wall, An Illegal Smile). There are three crack systems on the southeast face; use the left-hand one. (II,5.6). 8/8/1982.
