1. LEMONADE
1 quart sparkling water like Perrier (not tonic water)
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
Mix first three together. Fill a tall glass 2/3 to 3/4 with Lemon mixture then fill with sparkling water.
An interesting variation is to puree some fruit (raspberries, strawberries, etc) with a little superfine or powdered sugar and put that in the glass before adding the lemonade and water.
2. ORANGE JULIUS
Combine, 1 cup orange juice, 1 cup water, 2 egg whites, 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 heaping cup ice in a blender set on high speed for 15-30 seconds. Makes 2 drinks.
3. BAILEYS Makes 4 cups.
1 cup light cream
1 can Eagle sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
1 2/3 cups Irish whiskey
1 tsp instant coffee
2 tbsp Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
Combine all the ingredients in a blender set on high speed for 30 seconds.
Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. The liqueur will keep for at least 2 months if kept cool. Be sure to shake the bottle well before serving.
