SPIDER PEAK 2440m 8005′
Spider Peak (835-195; name assigned by Bob Dean), located between Virgil and Hampshire Mountains, was ascended on July 2, 2000 via ridge north of Insect Peak, class 3 at the top and scrambled up SW side of Spider.
Descended to Blue Grouse Basin on east, traversed to north to avoid cliffs below.
The FA is unknown and the routes are unclear.

Eight-tenths of a km west of Hampshire Mountain.
It is easy to climb from the north or east from Blue Grouse Basin.
