KOOTENAY MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

KARABINER INDEX
By subject, Vol 1 to 41 – June 1964 to 2000. Compiled by Ron Perrier

Notes concerning this index:
Volumes 1 – 9 were published by the Kootenay Section of the ACC
Volumes 10 – 41 were published by the KMC. The last Karabiner published was v 41. The KMC Newsletter was expanded to include all KMC news.
Volume numbering has been inconsistent. For ease in indexing, numbers have been assigned as follows: Vol. 20 – 1977; Vol. 21 – 1978; Vol. 22 ? Spring 1980; Vol. 23 – Spring 1981; Vol. 26 – Autumn 1983 (The pages are not numbered. They are identified 1 – 40 with page 1 about Ian Hamilton.) KK ’97 is mislabeled on the front cover – Vol. 30, but is correct in the inside – Vol 39. KK ’97 is entirely mistitled volume 31. I am calling them Vol. 39 and 40 respectively. Volume 41 (the last Karabiner published) is mislabeled Vol. 40 and includes the years 1998, 1999, 2000.

References are given as volume:pages (for example, 14:12-19 means volume 14, pages 12-19.)

About admin

I would like to think of myself as a full time traveler. I have been retired since 2006 and in that time have traveled every winter for four to seven months. The months that I am "home", are often also spent on the road, hiking or kayaking. I hope to present a website that describes my travel along with my hiking and sea kayaking experiences.
