I like to think of myself as a full-time traveller. I retired in 2006 at age 53 with a dream to see the world. Now thirteen + years and over 100 countries (and counting) into the adventure, I am living that dream. Traveling for 6 or more months per year is demanding and I went home for a few months each summer to relax and organize my life. It was my vacation and a chance to explore North America. In January 2018, I started 2 years in Europe and tell everyone “I’m the world’s most active traveller”. Follow the story.
My passions are walking, sea kayaking and diving – they allow me to have intimate experiences exploring almost anywhere. Hopefully this website will give you some ideas of places to go and things to do.
The Ideas page is about my many random thoughts.
Writing Hiking & Climbing the West Kootenay has fulfilled a dream I’ve had for two decades. It is a work in progress.
