LADE SLIPPER TRAIL to GOAT MOUNTAIN

The Lady Slipper trail leads to the summit of Goat Mountain. The summit is a lovely meadow without views. Location: Goat Mountain is the mountain to the NE of Creston.
Difficulty: B1 moderate
Elevation Gain: 400m
Distance: 4.8km round trip
Time: 3 hours
Season: Spring to fall
Access: Copious parking but make sure to be well off the road.

Drive: Turn off Lakeview-Arrow Creek Rd onto Foster Rd and continue along the FSR for a half hour or so until you see the marked trailhead on your left.

Trail: This well-forested trail ascends the side of Goat Mountain to its summit – a lush and mossy mountaintop meadow nestled between swaying conifers. For a view, head down to the right just a few meters before the summit.
