SUNNINGDALE LOOP

A nice shoulder season hike on the bench above the hospital in Trail.

Drive: Cross to East Trail and turn left (north) at the light. Park at Gyro Park on your left on the Columbia River. 

Route/Trail: Start at Gyro Park. Walk along the Columbia, through upper Sunningdale and up to the water tower to start the trail just below the hairpin. work way up the slope above Sunningdale Subdivision. Proceed along the ridge to reach the height of land for lunch.
Continue on the ridge eventually linking to the McQuarrie Creek Trail located behind the Trail Hospital. Follow the creek first reaching the access road leading to the hospital and high school and then, after a short walk through a residential area, arrive back at Gyro Park.
