Minor peak above Balfour. Access poor and rarely climbed. 2261m (7417′)
Time: 7.5 hours
Map: 82F/10 Crawford Bay and 82F/11 Kokanee Creek
Drive: Via cutlblocks up Leake Creek on the south side of Coffee Creek.
When the map is examined, it would appear that a logging road accessed from the north end of upper Balfour would give the best access.
Route: ascend through timber, past a higher block where the road was snowed in, and continue through timber and up a ridge to reach a bump at 013-031. Then walk SW on snow over various lumps along a ridge system leading to the base of the objective’s north ridge that is easy to surmount. Green communication cone. Kootenay Lake and ferries below.
