This route is at the south end of Castlegar.
Time: 4 hours
Drive: Park at the Kinnaird Bluffs.
Route: Walk a circular route from the base of Kinnaird Bluffs, south to Blueberry Creek, up along the NE rim of the creek to a prominent high point – Blueberry Overlook. Good views of Hwy 3 west and the Columbia River the other way.
Descend by bushwhack down the wooded north side of teh hgih point for abut 1km, emerging on Hwy 3 a short distance above the Merry Creek Road. Just below Merry Creek, re-enter the forest and wok way up the back side of Kinnaird Bluffs emerging on top for another great view. Descend the gully on the west end of the cliffs and complete the circle.
Wildlife is common with grouse, squirrel, raven and small birds.
