SUNSET MOUNTAIN

SUNSET MOUNTAIN   2610m   8563′
Located in Glory Basin just west of Outlook Mountain in the southwest corner of Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. Some ski to the summit from Sapphire Lakes.

Elevation gain: 1100′ from Glory Basin

Sunset Mountain can be climbed from Glory Basin containing Sapphire Lakes. The basin can be reached in 3 ways
1. Lemon Creek trail to Nilsik Creek trail.  It is a long hike.
2. Lemon Creek
3. From Kaslo Lake via Lemon Pass and several off-trail routes.
Pleasant Class 2 climb to the summit.
