SILVERTON CREEK TRAIL to FISHERMAIDEN LAKE

This is a fishing lake. There are no facilities, but campers have made a clearing that will accommodate a small tent. 

Difficulty: Easy A1
Elevation gain: 90m (300 feet)
Distance: 1 kilometre
Time: 20 minutes one-way
Season: July through September
Access: 4WD high-clearance

DriveSilverton Creek FSR. 2WD to 9kms. From the village of Silverton.
100 meters south of the bridge, turn east on Fourth Street
200 meters, go left (north) on Alpha Street
0.3 km Pavement ends. Curve right on Four Mile Creek road above Silverton Creek.
7.3 km Continue straight. Right goes to Maurier Creek (Mount Aylwin).
9 km Continue straight. Right goes to Fennel Creek south to Paupo Mountain. This road tends to wash out between the 9 and 10 km markers.  12.5km Stay left.
16.4 km End of the road below Mount Heyland, Long Mountain and Titei Mountain (high clearance, four-wheel drive). Park.

Trail: A narrow, well-defined trail leads to Fishermaiden Lake. Watch for stinging nettle and smell for cow parsnip.

What to do?
1. Natanek Lake. Intrepid hikers and route finders can go beyond Fishermaiden Lake to this lake in the NW corner of Kokanee Glacier PP.
2. Climb Titei or Blacktail Peaks
