MOUNT McBRIDE

MOUNT McBRIDE 2529m 8297 ft
An obscure peak only practically climbed as part of a traverse of the Valkyr Range.

Difficulty: E3 part of traverse of Valkyr Range
Elevation gained: 160m down and 210m up from Mt Rollins
Map: 82F/13 Burton, B. C. 82F/NW Slocan

Route: From Mount Rollins to the north, there is a 100m descent and an ascent of 150m, with a 60m bump in the middle, for the 2 km ridge walk to Mount McBride. The final ascent is steep with exposed scrambling.
This was part of a KMC trip in August 2007 where this north section of the Valkyrs was traversed from Mt Naumulten in the north to Hilda Peak in the south.
