WODEN PEAK 2715m
Situated west of the Devil’s Range, northeast of the head of Koch Creek. An attractive pyramidal peak. Has a private backcountry cabin used most in the winter. Refer to McKean Lakes Trail for access details.

Drive: Summary: Hwy 3A Playmor Junction è Hwy 6 – 15.6kms è Upper Passmore Rd 13.5kms è Koch Creek FSR 31kms to McKean Creek TH 1445m (4740′).
Trail: A 3.3 km trail ascends 655m to McKean Lakes. Mt Woden is 2000 feet above the largest lake to the northeast.
1. South Ridge. Ascend the south slopes and south ridge, no difficulty. (III,3,s).

2. West Ridge. Use the same trail as for Route 1. The west ridge is enjoyable scrambling, mostly solid rock, with a 10m section of low Class 5. The crux is a thin and exposed 15-meter section halfway up that requires the rope (Class 5.6; good rock, on the north side). Time, 2.5 hours up from McKean Lakes, and 1 hour return to the lakes.
