HUNT PEAK 7.058 feet (Class 2-3)
This is the last peak at the southern end of the Selkirks to reach 7,000 feet. The peak, which was caught in the great Sundance Fire, is a rugged piece of real estate with two large cirques on its northern and eastern slopes.

Drive: ID-57 is the primary approach route into the Priest Lake section of the range. It is well paved until the west side of Priest Lake north of Nordman, where several Forest Service roads continue to the north.
East Side Road. This road leaves ID-57 south of Priest Lake and runs east and north to
0.0 miles Coolin and then continues along the east side of the lake. The road, paved for several miles past Coolin, then good gravel, follows the lake to Lionhead State Park at the north end of the lake. Drive north from Coolin
8.0 miles, turn east onto the Hunt Creek Road System. From the East Side Road, two rough roads lead up Hunt Creek and the South Fork of Hunt Creek to the area below Hunt and Gunsight peaks.
Trail/Route: The peak is a Class 2 climb via its southern slopes and a Class 3 climb via its north and east ridges.
